Cancer Proof Your Home Cleaning Products

Frownies has the highest of standards when it comes to skin care product ingredients (#ingredientsmatter) so considering how much time and energy we spend on making sure what we put on our skin is healthy we must also consider ALL the products in our home environment. we think of skin as a barrier to the outside harmful chemicals but really our skin is a living breathing organ. To protect the whole body we must also make sure the products used around us are not only safe but promote and protect your body's health.

The chemical industry has successfully brainwashed the general public into associating its various chemical-based home “cleaning” products with sanitation. These products are in tens of millions of people’s homes, and are anything but safe. You want your homes to be a safe place for your families and friends, but how can you secure that safety if you do not know what toxic, cancer causing chemicals are hiding in products.

Cleaning products including those branded as “green” contain hidden carcinogens: 1,4 dioxane (also present in many laundry soap products, even those branded “natural”), Chloroform, and Phthalates and toluene (reproductive toxins). Toxic substances are not always listed in the ingredients; this makes it difficult to trust what is safe for you and your family to use in your home. Here you can find a list of household cleaning products as well as alternative non-toxic options.

Harmful Home Cleaning Supplies

known Germ-killers for taking on cleaning your home are some of the MOST DANGEROUS chemical solutions residing in your home. Every harmful chemical found in personal care products, is also found in household cleaning supplies. In addition EVEN WORSE substances such as:

  • Lye (acorrosive acid)
  • Ammonia
  • Chloramine gases
  • 1,4-dioxane
  • Lists of hormone-disrupting chemicals (a major contributor to cancer)

NONE OF THESE CHEMICALS ARE NECESSARY!

Basic ingredients such as water, vinegar, and baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) are just as effective with no toxicity! There are safe alternatives even for tough jobs like degreasing and scrubbing. Start thinking, “make your own” when it comes to cleaning supplies. If you try to avoid certain products you will go crazy, because basically all of them are full of hidden toxic chemicals. It is easier to focus on which solutions are safe than weed through commercial product.
