      Clean Skincare and Why

When it comes to health we think of what we eat, but think of what our skin eats through absorption. At FROWNIES we know the products that we use on and around us are being absorbed often times at a faster rate than what we consume orally. To FROWNIES, having a balanced “diet” in your skincare is just as important for all the parts of the body to thrive. FROWNIES is like seeing the nutritionist for your skin!

I’ve always believed in the power of food as medicine and believed that what you put in your body has a huge effect on your skin health. I can’t tell you how much  research on internal consumption and skin breakouts I have done.  What about topical?

      1. Parabens

Parabens are a whole family of chemicals (methylparabens, propylparabens, butylparabens, and ethylparabens) that help preserve shelf-life of products. When going through my own products, parabens were the most common offender.

You will find them in nearly every product from face wash, night cream, makeup, masks, body wash and shampoo—they are everywhere. Research shows that parabens can mimic estrogen in the body disrupting our delicate hormonal balance.

They’ve been linked to breast cancer, and since they act as a hormone disruptor they can lead to reproductive and fertility issues.

FROWNIES Skin Care contains no Parabens, never has and never will it's my promise.

      2. Phthalates

Phthalates group of chemicals used to soften and increase the flexibility of plastics in cosmetics. This helps products stick to our skin.

Phthalates can be extremely dangerous to children, but it’s best to avoid them all together as they can be serious endocrine disruptors and even cause birth defects. Congress has actually banned several types of phthalates recently from children’s products.

FROWNIES Skin Care contains no Phthalates, never has and never will it's my promise.

      3. Fragrance

This one doesn’t sound so scary, but “fragrance” is considered a trade secret which means that companies don’t have disclose what ingredients are inside. This is a sneaky one! It’s in sooooo many products!

Often, the ingredients include tons of chemicals that can cause allergies, hormone disruption and lead to bigger health problems reproductive issues and infertility.

FROWNIES Skin Care contains no fragrance, never has and never will it's my promise. Our "aromas" come from essential oils that serve a benefit to the skin as well.

      4. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and/or Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES)

SLS and SLES are known to cause skin irritation and trigger different allergies.

FROWNIES Skin Care contains no SLS OR SLES, never has and never will it's my promise.

      5. BHT

These are synthetic antioxidants that are used to extend shelf life and are likely carcinogens and hormone disruptors that may cause liver damage.

Our liver is our bodies’ main form of detoxification and if that’s not functioning at its best, it’s likely that other organs are functioning at their best either.

What one part of the body experiences the other parts are therefore effected by. May it be that the other parts must them take on more responsibility for balance and may become overworked, unable to properly perform all functions.

FROWNIES Skin Care contains no BHT, never has and never will it's my promise.

      6. Retinyl palmitate and Retinol (aka, Vitamin A)

This one may really surprised you! Maybe you always thought retinol was a good ingredient! It might help soften wrinkles, but it’s got some negative sides too. Pregnant women are told by their doctors to stop using any products with retinol and vitamin A.

Why, I wondered. It turns out that it may damage DNA and speed the growth of skin tumors when used on your skin.

FROWNIES Skin Care contains no Retinyl related ingredients, never has and never will, even though the consumer has been told how great it is in softening wrinkles.

Frownies skincare, like food to the body, feeds your skin what it needs to thrive and function in a balanced state so there is less symptoms like break outs, dry skin, irritations and itching. Frownies skincare ingredients benefit the skin, soften wrinkles and leave you with amazingly soft young appearing skin.

Homeostasis, or balance within the physical body, is vital for thriving and proper function of the bodily parts and systems. Health may only be achieved if provided with the proper nutrients. The reality is, there are constant perpetrators of health. Products that we are led to believe are safe and trustworthy may not be as “healthy” or protective as we think.

      Summer Sun Skin Care

Check your skin regularly for new moles that are tender or growing, then ask your primary care doctor how often you should see a dermatologist.

The best defense against getting too much ultraviolet radiation is a combination of protective clothing, shade, Frownies Aloe Gel and good timing. We want some sun so how do we find the balance?

Don’t get burned. Stay out for about 20 minutes the go inside and check to see if your red, or sore. the last thing you want is blistered or peeling skin and that happens with too much sun – and it raises your skin cancer risk. Use Frownies Aloe Gel after sun exposure to cool off any over exposure.

Cover up. After some good safe exposure add shirts, hats, shorts and pants because they provide the best protection from UV rays – and they don’t coat your skin with any unnecessary chemicals. Apply a good moisturizer with aloe like Frownies Body Lotion or Moisturizer Face and Neck for a hydrating treatment now with zinc oxide for sun blocking benifits.

Find shade – or make shade. Take your out of doors meal or meditation under a tree, read beneath an umbrella or take a canopy with you to the beach. Keep infants in the shade from the start of the day – they lack the tanning pigments,  that protect skin.

Plan around the peak sun. Sit outdoors in early morning or late afternoon, when the sun is lower. UV radiation peaks at midday so stay in the shade mid day.

Sunglasses aren’t just a fashion accessory. Good shades protect your eyes from UV radiation that causes cataracts.

      Now put on sunscreen

Some sunscreens prevent sunburn but may contain harmful ingredients that cause skin damage. Make sure yours offers broad spectrum protection google the active ingredients to see if you want them on your skin. Frownies Body Lotion and Moisturizer Face and Neck now contain zinc oxide to support a mild block.  Apply regularly if out in the sun longer periods of time.

Don’t just go for high SPF labels. Anything higher than SPF 50+ can tempt you to stay in the sun too long. Even if you don’t burn, your skin may get damaged. Pick a sunscreen with an  SPF between 15 and 50+. Choose a product based on your own skin coloration, anticipated time outside, shade and cloud cover. Reapply often if you are out in the sun longer. This is why you want to be sure of your active ingredients. I like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide they are considered mineral (or physical) sunscreens. Unlike their chemical counterparts that work by absorbing the sun's harmful rays, these mineral sunscreens that protect you from the sun by sitting on top of skin and physically blocking harmful rays. There are conflicting conversations about titanium dioxide but zinc oxide has always been generally considered safe.

Avoid sunscreen with vitamin A. Eating vitamin A-laden vegetables is good for you, but spreading vitamin A on your skin may not be. Government data show that tumors and lesions develop sooner on skin coated with creams laced with vitamin A, also called retinyl palmitate or retinol. Avoid any skin or lip product whose label includes retinyl palmitate, retinol or vitamin A.

I Avoid oxybenzone, a synthetic estrogen that penetrates the skin and can disrupt the hormone system. Look for products with zinc oxide, 3 percent avobenzone or Mexoryl SX. They protect skin from harmful UVA radiation. I have added zinc oxide to my Frownies body lotion and Moisturizer to make my own to prevent the ingredients I want to avoid ingredients and keep the benefits of whole oat oil rich  in vitamin E another natural sunblock and skin conditioner.

Don’t combine sunscreen with repellent. If you need bug repellent, buy it separately and apply it first.

Reapply cream often. Sunscreen chemicals sometimes degrade in the sun, wash off or rub off on towels and clothing.

Got your vitamin D? Many people don’t get enough vitamin D, a hormone manufactured by the skin in the presence of sunlight. Your doctor can test your level and recommend supplements if you are low in this vital nutrient.

      Sun safety tips for kids

A few blistering sunburns in childhood can double a person’s lifetime chances of developing serious forms of skin cancer. The best form of sun protection is a hat and shirt. After that, protect kids with a sunscreen product that’s effective and safe.

Take these special precautions with infants and children:

      Infants

Infants under 6 months should be kept out of direct sun as much as possible. Their skin is not yet protected by melanin. When you take your baby outside:

      • Cover them up with protective clothing that’s tightly woven but loose fitting, and a sun hat.
      • Make shade. Use the stroller’s canopy or hood. If you can’t sit in a shady spot, use an umbrella.
      • Avoid midday sun. Take walks in the early morning or late afternoon.
      • Follow product warnings for sunscreens on infants younger than 6 months old. Most manufacturers advise against using sunscreens on infants, or advise parents and caregivers to consult a doctor first. The American Academy of Pediatrics says that small amounts of sunscreen can be used on infants as a last resort when caretakers can’t find shade.

      Toddlers and children

Sunscreens are an essential part of a day in the sun. But young children’s skin is especially sensitive to chemical allergens, as well as the sun’s UV rays.

      • Test sunscreen by applying a small amount on the inside of your child’s wrist the day before you plan to use it. If an irritation or rash develops, try another product. Ask your child’s doctor to suggest a product less likely to irritate your child’s skin.
      • Slop on sunscreen and reapply it often, especially if your child is playing in the water or sweating a lot.

      Teens

Teenagers who covet bronzed skin are likely to sunbathe or patronize tanning salons, both of which are a bad idea. Researchers believe that increasing UV exposure may have caused the marked increase in melanoma incidence noted among women born after 1965. Tanning parlors expose the skin to as much as 15 times more UV radiation than the sun and contribute to the increase in melanoma rates.

      Tan does not mean healthy.

DIY Exfoliating Quarantine Home Spa Treatment

Your daily skin care routine is far more important than a monthly scrub or spa treatment. Using a chemical free body wash that does not strip valuable layer of the acid mantel and prepares your skin for a good moisturizer is my daily must. FROWNIES  NEW  Citrus Honey Body Wash with essential oils will inspire your emotions and when used with a body brush you get the benefit of increased circulation in the different layers of the skin not just the surface.

Apply FROWNIES  Cellulite cream to tone and firm the appearance of the skin in desired areas and then FROWNIES  Body Lotion now for the summer with zinc oxide and for Face and Neck the NEW  Moisturizer with zinc Oxide.

I think it is fun and beneficial to exfoliate your entire body and face with a gentle scrub about once a month.Exfoliating your skin brings new life to face and body by ridding dead skin and cleaning out pores—ahhhh, refreshing.

Many of the big name cleansers have micro-beads that are no good for your skin and or the environment. States such as Illinois have banned cosmetics using tiny plastic beads because of the wreckage they create on the suffering ocean ecosystem. Natural alternatives are simpler, cheaper, and healthier than it ever could be with microbeads.

Buying a large jar of expensive sugar or salt mixed with an essential oil and coconut oil gets dried out and wasted when I have done it in the past.

Si if you like here are a few DIY natural scrubs.

      Five Favorite Natural Skin Scrubs

      1. Sugar Lemon Face Scrub. Baking soda is great for treating acne, coconut oil contains super antibiotic powers; multivitamins and multi-nutrients—which nourish and moisturize, and lemon grind’s citric and plant acids work to cleanse while lightening and brightening.

1 cup of sugar or baking soda

½ cup of coconut oil or olive oil

      1 teaspoon of lemon zest

      1-2 drops lemon extract (optional)

-Mix together all ingredients and place in an airtight glass container. For sensitive skin use baking soda, and replace sugar with sea salt or Epson salt.

      2.  Pineapple & Papaya Facial Exfoliating Mask. The pineapple and papaya juice are both natural exfoliators, and the honey calms the skin. Papaya is full of Vitamin A, which helps to remove dead skin, and pineapple contains bromelain, which helps reduce inflammation.

      ¼ cup cubed fresh papaya

      2 tbsp brown sugar

      1 tbsp sweet almond oil

1 tbsp manuka honey (or regular honey)

-Mash fruit until pulp, apply mask and leave on for 3-5 minutes, wash with warm water, press skin with warm wash clothe.

      3. Grapefruit Avocado Oil Scrub. Grapefruit has freeradical fighting powers, contains retinol antioxidants that help equalize skin tone and treat discoloration, and stimulates the pumping of your collagen for skin toning. Avocado Oil’s glutamine amino acids help cleanse and will not black pores.

      1 cup sugar

      ½ grapefruit, squeezed

      3 tablespoons

-Juice grapefruit into sugar, pour in avocado oil, and combine; use folding motion to not dissolve sugar.

      4. Lemon Scrub. Fights acne and aging, and feels clean and smooth. Olive Oil is naturally moisturizing and is good for oily and dry skin. Olive oil contains antioxidants and good fats, which help rid freeradicals and heal skin. Honey makes skin glow from its antibacterial and regenerative properties. Sugar keeps skin soft and supple, removes dirt and unclogs pores, maintains oil balance, cleans and fights toxins. Rids blackheads, discoloration by scars or skin disorders, and age spots.

      ½ lemon, juiced

      ½ cup of sugar

      1 tbsp olive oil

      1 tbsp honey

-Wisk all liquids until thick, add sugar and mix with spoon; add more or less according to desired thickness.

      5. Skin Brightening Face Scrub. Strawberries help improve skin tone and cleanse and are a natural source of salicylic acid. Salt exfoliates dead skin cells. Almond oil hydrates.

      5 large strawberries (10 small)

      Juice of ½ lime

      1 tspn of almond oil

      4 tbsp salt

-Pulse strawberries in blender or food processor (you do not want them mushy), stir in lime juice and almond oil, mix in salt, work in small circular motions, leave on for 3-5 minutes, and wash off.

*Bonus Scrub! We had to add one bonus diy scrub to the list because it is one of our favorites! The Sea Salt Face Scrub and Coconut Oil Makeup Remover. Coconut oil can be used as a daily makeup remover. The addition of Himalayan pink sea salt draws out toxins and rids dead skin cells for a smooth complexion.

Breaking Self Limiting Beliefs & Becoming the Entrepreneur

      Self Limiting Beliefs

Self limiting beliefs can lead us to take short cuts for the feelings surrounding instant gratification. This can lead to a slippery cycle of feeling overall dissatisfied, lacking in substance and longevity, not to mention lacking health. FROWNIES fits into a health driven lifestyle like any other health practice would. Even a medical Doctor (of decades) refers to their profession as a practice, because it requires continuous expansion and application of knowledge and skill.

Health is not a pill, an injection, a tuck, or a face filter. Health is a 24 hour 7 days in a week, practice. A full and whole practice, in learning, in building and utilizing that built upon self learned knowledge until it becomes wisdom in everyday moments to create a lifestyle that promotes and creates health all around you.

You can change anything, you TRUELY have the power! So, ask yourself what your best, HEALTHIEST self would do. If this level of awareness seems foreign to you start with processing and visualizing (without limiting your wildest dreams) what this may look like. Then find safe support and take it one step at a time. Self limiting beliefs effect everyone! The principals that aid us in one area of life usually work across the board. Even if your not an entrepreneur in work you can be an entrepreneur of your life and in health!

How to be  Successful as an Entrepreneur

As an entrepreneur, the biggest obstacle to your success is not the lack of time or money. It’s what you believe about yourself, specifically, your self-limiting beliefs. So what Makes Self-Limiting Beliefs So Deadly to Entrepreneurs?

Productivity is vital to entrepreneurs, specifically early-stage entrepreneurs, because business depends on how productive you are. In the early stages of your business, chances are, cash flow might be slow and resources limited, therefore you will need to leverage the hell out of your time. Unfortunately, self-limiting beliefs are deadly to entrepreneurs, because, if unchecked, they tend to:

      Lower aspirations, hopes and dreams

Because, deep inside your sub-conscience, lies the belief that you can't accomplish the desired goal so you set your goal lower. Lowering the level of achievement from remarkable to mediocrity. Not only are you limiting your full potential, you are radically limiting the success of your business. By offering an unremarkable product or service to the market, you will have a harder time standing out in the marketplace and you are setting yourself for more competition from other mediocre providers.

      Patterns of self-sabotage

You think down inside you are a failure and don’t deserve success, while earnestly longing for success, so you throw everything into your entrepreneurial pursuit, working 60, 80, 100 hours a week to the brink of exhaustion. However, in spite of how hard you are working, something in you causes you to make fatal errors that negate all the time, energy, and hard work put into the endeavor. This fatal, self-sabotage could involve issues with product quality, wearing yourself thin, the inability to monetize anything, or making other destructive business mistakes. When the project fails, it then only reinforces the belief that "you are a failure" and "you don’t deserve success".

      Procrastination and laziness

It is easier to put off a task if you do not believe performing it will lead to success, and due to your subconscious beliefs, that you cannot truly achieve the goal, it makes it effortless to avoid the necessary work through social distractions, surfing social media, watching TV, or whatever other excuse you can come up with.

      Drain your energy

Emotional conflict drains energy—Your heart wants to do one thing, but your mind says something else, so you end up internally fighting with yourself. This internal struggle will drain you of your energy and motivation to act. As an entrepreneur, you need to carefully manage and cultivate the best energy possible to work efficiently, otherwise, the quality and quantity of what you accomplish within a set period of time will be impacted. When your heart and mind are aligned, you will find yourself with enough energy to move mountains.

Eliminating Self-Limiting Beliefs with a Logical Technique

This technique is really great for people who tend more towards the logical than the metaphysical. For example, you may have a hard time believing in the Law of Attraction and Manifestation, then this technique is for you.

      1. Carve out some quiet time to identify your self-limiting beliefs and write them down. They are usually the daily thoughts on loop in your mind, or common thoughts trigged by specific scenarios, such as when you think about finances.
      2. Pick one self-limiting belief to work on at a time.  Disable each belief one at a time. It is best to start with the smaller ones, beliefs you know are definitely false, such as “All people who succeed in life are successful because they had money”, rather than one that has a long history of painful emotional triggers.
      3. Ask why you believe this. Reflect on your life—write down every past experience you have had that reinforced this belief. Try to trace back to the earliest experience where the belief emerged.
      4. Gather evidence that suggests the belief is false. Think of real-life examples of experiences that show a statement about yourself such as this was not true?  Write down every example that indicates this belief is untrue.
      5. Neutralize self-limiting beliefs with visualization. Most likely these false beliefs are so entrenched in your psychology that they have become well-established thought patterns, often triggered by certain events. Your practice now is, whenever you catch yourself thinking this belief, IMMEDIATELY counteract it by visualizing an image of the opposite. For example, if you believe that the only reason why you are not successful is because you don't have money, next time you think this, focus on all the people who came from more difficult circumstances than you but rose to fortune—Rinse, lather and Repeat. Work your way up your list from the easiest to the most difficult self-limiting belief.

Overcoming Self-Limiting Beliefs Using the NLP Technique

NLP or Neurolinguistics Programming (NLP) is an approach to communication, personal development and psychotherapy (AKA literally what your brain is doing). NLP asserts that there is a correlation between neurological processes (“neuro”), language (“linguistic”), and behavioral patterns learned through life experience (“programming”) that can be changed to achieve specific life goals. NLP works by rewiring your patterns of belief by changing the way you talk and think about yourself.

Changing self-limiting beliefs using NLP techniques:

      1. Get into the habit of modifying any negative statement about yourself from present to past. Statements made in present tense trick the body into believing it to be a current reality. Statements made in the past implies the event has come and gone, creating a transition that opens up new, future possibilities. So, for example, instead of saying, “I am so disorganized” modify by saying, “I have been disorganized in the past, but I’m much more on top of things now.” Even if you don’t feel comfortable modifying the statement, just replacing “am” with “have been” will create a shift in your reality!
      2. Identify a specific outcome to achieve. Pick a date for this outcome to occur by. Utilize the power of future mental imagery by seeing the desired outcome has already happened, stating the future date as already occurred.
      3. Do daily practice. Daily spend time immersing yourself in mental imagery. Imagine the specific details of the future event as it happened in the past in full color. Notice how your body feels. What are your emotions? How did the people around you react when the event occurred? Dedicate at least 15 minutes to this visualization practice repeating the process to make it feel real.

Freeing Yourself from Self-Limiting Beliefs with the Future-Self Technique

This is a powerful exercise that tends to resonate most with those who believe in multi-dimensionality, quantum mechanics, and the power of the subconscious mind. If these concepts are all new to you, I still highly recommend you try to remain open to it, because it can be fun and insightful (and it certainly can’t hurt).

The paradigm works like this. At any given point in time and space, your spirit is present simultaneously in multiple dimensions. Your body is here in the physical dimension – our material selves/form keep us primarily rooted and operating in this space. However, many different emanations of ourselves exercising different potentialities, both higher and lower, infinitely and simultaneously exist in the space-time continuum. By connecting with and communicating with one of these aspects, you can receive guidance on the best decisions you need to make in order to manifest the desired potentiality.

      1. Imagine the ideal future you, fully embodying your dreams. Imagine you as you’d like to be. It could be the Millionaire You living in a tropical paradise. It could be the More Compassionate You, embodying a calm and grace that you might be struggling to attain at the present time. Visualize every aspect of the future you, from where you live, to the friends around you, to how much money you might be making, to the challenges you have successfully overcome.
      2. Give this “Future You” a name. You can work on as many Future You’s as you’d like, but it is important to distinguish between each one with a name. A powerful extension of this is to work on Future You’s at different life milestones, purposes, or dreams.
      3. Believe this person is real and truly exists. Gather as much evidence as you can from your personal experiences proving how entirely possible it is that you can be this ideal you. Find as many examples of yourself or others that have achieved similar results, some with even more disadvantaged than you.
      4. Have a daily conversation with “Future You”. Ask "future you" questions about what the best decisions are for you to get to where future you is and as quickly as possible. Imagine your future you as a mentor to your present self.
      5. Send love and encouragement to the past you once “Future You” status is achieved. This part is the key, because it bridges the time space continuum, and further reinforces the effectiveness of this practice.

Your Health, Natural Illness Prevention and Immune Support

The FROWNIES mantra, and the foundation for all our ingredients, products, and company standards, is based upon holistic health principles. Which also means natural, organically grown (plant based) ingredients. We believe a strong immune system is the best defense mechanism to fight against infection and illness. Do not fall prey to vicious illness; instead empower yourself to HAVE control, because you do! You have all the power you need to remain healthy by keeping your immune system strong! It is vital to have a strong immune system to sustain health.

Strengthen and support yourself and your family by acknowledging the autonomy within. Feeling empowered to learn will build autonomy within you and within those around you (especially the littlest ones around you, let's be honest, they are watching EVERYTHING). To protect you and your precious little ones sometimes demands taking preventative measures. This is what natural health practices are all about.

      Healthy Immune System

The immune system can become weak from nutritional deficiencies as well as lack of physical exercise. Too much stress can also impair immune functions and compromise immunity. This increases both risk and severity of infection. An inch of prevention is worth a mile of cure.

The Immune system is made up of a network of cells and organs. The foods you eat have a huge impact on your immune system. So feeding your body foods that are dense in nutrients and contain disease-fighting properties helps to keep your immune system staying strong.

Here are some super foods full of vitamins and minerals that can help you kick sickness to the curb and have control of your whole health, naturally!

      Natural Home Remedies

Lemons –Lemons contain extra vitamin C and can normalizes the body’s pH level.

Apple Cider Vinegar –Contains a host of vitamins such as potassium, calcium, phosphorous, sodium, magnesium, iron, and sulphur. Apple cider vinegar has strong anti-yeast properties.

Yogurt/Kefir(with or without dairy) – Both contain beneficial bacteria that line the intestines to combat parasites, bacteria, and virus germs.

Turmeric –A powerful anti-inflammatory and has properties that allow to generate more immune cells.

Garlic –Contains sulphuric compounds that protect against illness.

Oregano –High in antioxidants and saturated with phenolic acids and flavonoids.

Ginger –Minimizes heartburn, motion sickness, migraines, and prevents colon and ovarian cancers. Ginger also gives your immune system an extra boost.

Broccoli –Rich in vitamins and minerals; one of the most effective immune boosters. Contains the anti-cancer and potent antioxidant compounds, vitamins A, C, and E,

Red Bell Peppers –Increases your energy level and strengthens your immune system. Great source of vitamin C; of all the fruits and vegetables, red bell peppers are one of the best sources of vitamin C.

Green Tea –Strengthens the immune system and fights bacteria and viruses. Contains epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which prevents a virus from being replicated, and multiplying; a cancer-fighting agent.

Pumpkin –Rich in beta-carotene, the main component of vitamin A. Vitamin A prevents cancer and strengthens cellular communication in the immune system. Pumpkin seeds are also a great source of protein and zinc.

      Sickness Prevention Tips

      1. Wash hands frequently. This is an easy way to protect against illness every day.

      2. Get a full night of restful sleep. This is when the body restores and healths itself the most.

      3. Eat a healthy diet of organic fruits and vegetable. This will give antioxidants that help remove harmful free radicals from the body.

      4. Exercise regularly to stimulate the immune system.

      5. Avoid sugar, which depresses the immune system.

      6. De-stress. Stress affects the body’s ability to fight off infections and throws hormones out of balance.

      7. Take vitamin D3.

      8. Take immune boosting supplements (vitamin C, probiotics, zinc, garlic, Echinacea) that will help boost the immune system.

      9. Make sure hormones are in balance. Hypothyroidism and hormonal imbalance can lead to a weak immune system.

      10. Drink lots of water to help stay hydrated. This helps remove toxins from your body.

      11. Be sure to use non-toxic beauty products such as FROWNIES since 1889

It is important to be proactive and take charge of your health so that you can prevent and fight off infections, such as the flu and viruses, both naturally and safely.  Prevention is how you have control of your health, naturally!
